Thurman Stalker Must Stay Away For Five Years

Latest: Crazed Uma Thurman fan Jack Jordan has been ordered to keep his distance from the Hollywood star for five years following his conviction for stalking and harassing her. He was arrested outside Thurman's New York home in 2005 after attempting to force his way into her movie trailer, while she was shooting My Super Ex-girlfriend. During the week-long trial at New York's Manhattan Supreme Court, Thurman and her parents testified, revealing how Jordan had bombarded them with notes and letters, and threatened to kill himself if her mother and father refused to pass on the messages. The 37-year-old was found guilty of fourth-degree stalking and one count of second degree aggravated harassment by the jury on 6 May . But Jordan escaped jail time when he was sentenced on Monday - a judge decided instead to simply order him to stay away, and gave him three years' probation. Jordan was also told to seek outpatient treatment as part of his punishment, according to website Tmz.com. He was acquitted on two other aggravated harassment charges.

The vinyl solution

Serato Scratch Live was developed in Auckland by Serato Audio Research, a company founded by Steve West and AJ Bertenshaw. Back in 1999 the pair developed the now-industry-standard plug-in for Pro Tools, Pitch 'n' Time. Their Serato Scratch Live is "vinyl emulation software" and is used by some of the world's finest DJs. The idea is to integrate the music on a DJ's computer with real turntables, so the music files can be scratched and mixed on turntables like real vinyl records. The DJs load up their music library on their laptop, install the Serato software, and then use control vinyl records or control CDs to play and manipulate songs from their computers on turntables or CDJs. Says West: "It is amazing to see this little New Zealand company that started in a basement enjoy as much success on the international stage as we have in the last 10 years."

John Mayer Not Serious About Jennifer Aniston?

Jennifer Aniston’s friends fear that her blossoming romance with John Mayer will end in heartbreak – because he’s just not that into her.

Whilst the 39-year-old former Friends star is looking for a serious relationship, serial-dater Mayer, 30, is just after a “summer fling” say her pals.

“John says that Jen and he have a physical connection as deep as their spiritual one,” one tells OK!.

“But he also said he’s categorizing this as a summer fling for now.”

The friend adds that the singer/songwriter - who has been linked to Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz and, most recently, Minka Kelly - has “never been faithful to anyone.”

Do you think Mayer's intentions are honourable given his track-record? Be sure to let us know your thoughts!
